Use Case: Identifying SharePoint Sites with OOB Workflows
A common SharePoint use case: As the SharePoint administrator, you have been testing your migrations from your MOSS2007 production environment to your new SharePoint 2010 platform, but because you are unable to “lock down” the existing system, some of the real-time activities are causing errors in your migrations. You may also just want to know where certain workflows are installed, and what state they are in (active, completed).
Using Davinci Migrator, you can quickly and easily query your 2007 environment using our pre-built OOB (out of the box) Workflows report to identify where these workflows exist, and what state they are in, so that you can handle those sites accordingly and ensure that your migrations are successful.
Step 1: Go to the Discover tab, and on the left, select the farm or farms to be searched, then select the OOB (out of the box) Workflows report to generate a new query, which opens a tab at the top of the workspace.

Step 2: Select ‘View’ to run the query against your farm, and review the results below.

The report shows you which sites are affected, the type of workflow, and the state of each workflow. What makes Davinci even more powerful, however, is your ability to modify the pre-built query by selecting additional attributes, by modifying the SQL (that is, if you are comfortable using SQL), and re-running the report. Once you’ve identified the sites, you can proceed with your migration planning – now with greater control over the sites that contain workflows.
Davinci now also support full-fidelity migrations of Nintex Workflow. In fact, Axceler is the only Nintex technology partner that migrates their workflows from 2007 to 2010, including full history and Nintex configuration data. See the press release here.
