City of Las Vegas Selects Axceler’s ControlPoint

hen the city of Las Vegas went looking for software to better manage its 300 SharePoint sites, it turned to Axceler. ControlPoint 4.0 was selected after the city evaluated three SharePoint administration tools.
"We were seeking an administration tool that was easy enough for both our user community and IT staff to use, so everyone could take advantage of the reporting," said Patricia Dues, PMP, Enterprise Program Manager for the City of Las Vegas. ControlPoint's strong security, file and site management capabilities helped seal the deal.
Fifteen city departments have already implemented ControlPoint, with another five slated for deployment soon. "ControlPoint reports will enable us to develop key performance indicators for monthly measurement, to help us make better informed decisions," said Dues.
The city of Las Vegas has approximately 600,000 citizens with a total of nearly 2 million residents living in the surrounding Las Vegas valley. The city has 2,700 full time employees and a total budget of $1.3 billion.
